Day - 9
We are returning to one of our favorite sites - the Northern Cascades,
so named for the cascading waters that flow from the peaks of the mountains.
This rain forest in our northwestern corner of the country is just beautiful! All different kinds of moss and lichen.

Day - 8
Another day of R & R😊. Leisurely breakfast, met Kyl for lunch and picked up buttons to finish another project:)
The weather has been rainy again, so it is a good day for laundry, test and projects!
In our journeys we stopped at Debbie Macomber's A Good Yarn Shop in Port Orchard. Picked up a Tee-Cake and pattern and finished these cute baskets today!

Day - 7
Today Rick and I had the day to ourselves to do a bit of exploring in foot. We walked around the area near our hotel. God provided an amazing sunshiny day for us!
We saw a nearby sculpture...
And we strolled around the Naval Shipyard... (They have a tree that could use some trimming 😀)
Saw some interesting vessels...
Reflections in the water...
Crustaceans and jellyfish...
This one is for sale. Next adventure???:). Can you imagine the tug pulling us out to sea? I'm sure I would have to brush up on my "sailing lingo"😉
The USS Turner Joy, Naval Destroyer from Vietnam, is now open for historical tours.
And this is my favorite pic of the day...
Went to Jimmy D's in Gorst...great food!! Saw it on Trip Advisor and it was correct! Amazing food!! Dinner: prime rib skillet, chopped steak, veggies, mashed potatoes & gravy, bacon cheeseburger and chocolate mousse cake...yum! Yep extra calories today:)
Change of plans! We have decided to spend another night in Bremerton! Don't want to say goodbye to Kyl😞

Day - 6
Another perfect day! The skies are blue and we have seen sunshine and beautiful clouds.
The view from Kyl's house! Almost looks like "home".
Attended the Holly Daze Craft show in Port Orchard. Some really unique items. And, of course, I found a new craft to try!!
Also found a Yarn Shop and had to get a project to do!
Spending the day on a mission! Looking for an old fashioned candy thermometer. Who would think that would be impossible to find? Three Goodwills later and we have success!! Now it is time to head to Kyl's and carve pumpkins and make popcorn balls!!

Day - 5
My favorite day so far!
Began with another great breakfast at our hotel and then we took the ferry to Seattle.
Walked through Pike's Market. Lots of interesting vendors, beautiful flowers, an eclectic mix of people, and awesome apple fritters and Sweet Tango apples! I have to say that they are the best apples I have ever eaten!!
Part of Market area includes an alleyway with the Gum Wall... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/gum_wall
We had a wonderful lunch at the Cheese Cake Factory. Then Kyl treated us to the play Beauty and the Beast. Paramount Theater is just beautiful and the play was excellent!
Walked back to the ferry, stopped for some supplies for our adventures tomorrow...
