Before The Trip Begins
This will be more of a Pre-Westward Bound post. The whole trip began during the flurry of the busy season at Mountain View Lodges. We love what we do! We love meeting all the people! That being said, come the end of August we have flipped to many cabins to count and talked to so many people we are lucky to remember our own names! So, when the Travel Zoo ad came up on Facebook with the caption, "$79 R/T Nationally", I couldn't help but "click". Of course there was nowhere we could travel too that inexpensively but $199 R/T to Washington? That was a deal we just couldn't pass up! After all, one of our daughters is stationed in Bremerton and we don't get to see her very often. And another daughter had relocated to Sacramento, California. Fly, Road Trip, see the kids...priceless (and cheap airfare, too!)
Well, after the tickets were purchased, the Navy changed the schedule, so no time off for that daughter. And our daughter in Sacramento? Well, she has since relocated to Las Vegas. Yes, we only purchased the tickets a few weeks ago! Life in our world changes often and quickly!
In a scramble to re-plan, our trip has been re-routed ( I wonder if anybody'd think I'd flipped, If I went to L.A., via Omaha) and we will fly from Minneapolis to Seattle, Seattle to Las Vegas and Las Vegas to Minneapolis...So much for the cheap $199 trip!
But as the commercial says; First leg of the trip $200 airfare + expenses, second leg of the trip $200 airfare + expenses, seeing our girls...priceless!
Follow us on our journey, please keep us all in your prayers...the adventure begins October 21!
